Proposing to your wedding party

So, you’re engaged!! Eeekk!!! We are so excited for you! So your guy (or gal, love is love), proposed, and there are so many things to do! After you call your parents and your bffs obvi, the tough decisions roll in… who to have in your wedding party, and how to ask them.

The easiest way is to straight up ask them. Maybe you call them on the phone, or you wait until you see them in person, or maybe you want to do something a little different.

Just like your main squeeze thought of a special way to propose to you, maybe you want to do something special to propose to your wedding party. It doesn’t have to be a flash mob, or a hidden photographer, (but hey, if there is, send us those pics!), as long as it is from the heart it will be perfect. And if you need some help, don’t worry, we’re here for you babe!

Say it in a card

Cards are classic ways to get a little help when we don’t know what to say. We give cards for engagements, weddings, and anniversaries, so why not here too? Pinterest and Etsy have endless options like this gem here:

All you need to do is add a personalized message on the inside, and you’re on your way to wonderful wedding memories with your squad.

Say it with a drink

Maybe cards aren’t your thing, or you want to do a little something more, why not start toasting you and your besties early and ask them with a drink and start celebrating today! This super fun and easy DIY project from Fox Blossom will be perfect to pop the question to your guys and/or gals and there is glitter, so it’s a no brainer.

And if glitter and champagne won’t do the trick, don’t worry, we thought of that too.  Switch the champagne for an alcohol you know they will like, and swap the glitter for a tag for the bottle. This one from Brides Magazine is so easy, and that bow will let them know you mean business.

Say it with style

Maybe alcohol won’t do the trick for your crew, and don’t worry you didn’t stump us, we have another idea for you. So how else can you propose to your wedding party? You can do it with jewelry or accessories. Hey, hey, get back here, it won’t be scary I promise.

Do you imagine your your guys wearing matching socks or cufflinks, or your girls to matching earrings? There you go, a proposal idea. See, that wasn’t so bad! Before the wedding becomes all about you and your boo, you can make it about your bffs to show them how much they mean to you (and how prepared you are by already thinking about their wedding day outfits). The possibilities here are endless and can adapt to any budgets, but we will show you these options anyway.

This necklace from Etsy combines a cute message and a necklace your girls can wear for the wedding, or for an everyday reminder of your friendship.

Maybe you have some fans of How I Met Your Mother and your wedding is going to be Legen-wait-for-it-dary (it’s from the show I promise), you can set your bros up with a bow tie so they can suit up for the main event from Etsy (is there anything you can’t find on Etsy?)

There are so many ways to propose to your wedding party, and as long as it’s genuine, any way you choose will be the perfect way. If you have more ideas, or want to share your own wedding party propsals, add them in the comments below.
